Rosacea
Rosacea is a skin condition where dilated blood vessels (capillaries) appear on the face causing redness. Rosacea is a very common skin disorder affecting millions of people. We have a treatment that uses a multi-wavelength light source (IPL), that is not a laser, but uses particular filters to make sure the correct type of light is used to eliminate the redness. These pulses of light are readily tolerable with little to no discomfort. Local anesthesia may be used. Immediate return to work and daily activity is possible and your skin will be protected from injury. After 3-5 treatment sessions your skin will be smoother, softer, you will have smaller pores, and less redness. For patients with sun damage and early signs of aging, the IPL technology may be just the right alternative for you.

Intense Pulsed Light Hair Removal
Pulsed light hair removal is safer, faster, and a more effective procedure to eliminate unwanted hair than electrolysis, waxing or tweezing. For example, with electrolysis, it takes two-seconds to remove one hair follicle versus hundreds of follicles per pulse of laser light. In addition the surrounding tissue is unaffected and there is little or no irritation to the skin.
IPL hair removal works with individual hair growth cycles to deliver lasting results regardless of skin color or body area. Because the treatment can only be used to eliminate follicles that are in the growth cycle at the time of treatment, a series of treatments are suggested to achieve the best long-term results.

Pigment Damage
Lasers and Intense Pulsed Light devices have been used with great success to remove pigmented areas on the skin. Using this state of the art technology, charged energy light is selectively emitted to affected areas to be absorbed by the pigmented areas, sparing the normal surrounding skin. Topical remedies such as bleaching agents, glycolic acid, and retinoids can be tried but usually only treat the visible skin pigmentation whilst doing nothing to treat the cause under the skin.

Acne
Acne affects up to 80% of people between ages 11 and 30. Medications have limited effect and severe inflammatory acne often leaves behind scars that are difficult to treat. Fortunately several laser and light-based technologies have been proven to not just improve mild to moderate acne but to reduce the appearance of scaring through the removal of thin skin layers.
Skin Tightening
Pulsed light skin tightening is a minimally invasive, non-surgical process that uses a pulsed wave light source (a laser) to tighten skin by heating the collagen under the skin’s surface, causing the skin to contract (tighten). Facial skin tightening is noticeable after the second or third treatment, and there is no downtime, making this an increasingly popular procedure. Additional skin tightening occurs over the next few months, but optimal results usually require two or three treatments about a month apart.
